Association of Public Service Alliance Retirees

The Association of Public Service Alliance Retirees

APSAR's future

The future of the Association is based on four major factors:

  1. The PSAC members' wish to take care of their pension plan by joining massively with the Association;

  2. The will of all retired former PSAC members to look after the interests of their pension plan by joining the Association in great numbers;

  3. The determination by Locals, to achieve the dimension of their actions with regard to a priority, which is the safety of a viable income, acceptable and indexed, for all their members, once they are retired, by contributing vigorously to the advancement of the Association and by directly joining the Association;

  4. The objectivity by PSAC, to support the Association's actions, the purpose of which is to protect the prerogatives of a pension plan through sustained cooperation, opened to any current and future cooperation; all the PSAC unions should have the mandate of joining the Association.

The Association of Public Service Alliance Retirees is governed and administered only by volunteers, retired former PSAC members. Relief is a vital and basic aspect of its operation. Locals become the undeniable source of renewal for members of the Association's National Council.

The contribution by PSAC regional councils, women's committees, and all the other PSAC committees, is an approach that must be reassuring and concrete in the promotion of APSAR. An APSAR legitimate place on those committees, which are the base of the PSAC sructure, must be taken into consideration.
