Federal budget 2009: Make the economy work
On January 27, the Harper government will present a federal budget to Canadians. In this time of job losses and economic uncertainty, will the budget work for Canadians?
Up to now, the Harper government has made its agenda clear – to barrel forward with program cuts at the public's expense. But there are alternatives.
The PSAC, the Canadian Labour Congress and the Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives, as well as many other progressive groups and organizations have put forward suggestions for the upcoming budget that will work for our communities, for workers and their families.

- Support public services
- Invest in infrastructure
