Pay Equity Task Force report key to future of pay equity

OTTAWA – The Public Service Alliance of Canada (PSAC) is eagerly looking forward to the release of the long-awaited report of the federal government's Pay Equity Task Force. The union, with its considerable experience with the current pay equity legislation, was an active participant in the Task Force hearings and consultations.

The PSAC has been the leader in achieving pay equity for federal public sector workers.   Its 16-year complaint against the federal government resulted in pay equity payments of over $3-billion for over 200,000 current and former PSAC members.

PSAC National President Nycole Turmel will be available to comment on the Task Force report after its release.
