Negotiations with Parks Canada

Mediation with Parks begins September 29

Your bargaining team will begin one week of mediation with Parks Canada on Monday, September 29. Your team will be entering mediation with the goal of resolving the outstanding, priority issues. We hope the employer’s team sincerely shares this goal.

Your team will be focused on several key issues, including no contracting out, privatization, students, our wage package including No Zones, the arming initiative and other issues important to our members.

New Bargaining Team Member

We are also welcoming a new member to our bargaining team. Sheila Birtch of St. Lawrence Islands National Park will replace Kimerlee Trainor. Sister Sheila is a well-respected and knowledgeable PSAC activist who was elected First Alternate at the National Bargaining Conference in the spring of 2006. Welcome aboard Sister!
