The Public Service Alliance of Canada and the Agriculture Union are working together on GrainAction.ca to oppose the politically-motivated job cuts at the Canadian Grain Commission.
With Bill C-39, the Harper government is seeking to diminish the role of the Canadian Grain Commission and reduce vital inspection services provided by PSAC members and members of the TC and SV Groups.
Concerted effort and lobbying has met with some success: so far the Conservatives have been unable to push the bill through Parliament and the opposition parties have adopted our arguments to challenge the bill. But we need more…
To move the fight forward we have adopted state-of-the-art online advocacy tools to continue the lobbying effort and be ready when the bill moves to the next stage.
We have been working closely with grain producers and other organizations to ensure the Canadian Grain Commission to stop Bill C-39. But we need your support to build a base of e-activists to take the fight to the government. Sign up on GrainAction.ca and encourage your friends to the do the same.
