OTTAWA – Under the theme River Without Borders, members of the Public Service Alliance of Canada (PSAC) will be meeting in Gatineau this weekend for the 4th Triennial PSAC Convention for the National Capital Region.
The position of PSAC Regional Executive Vice-President (REVP) for the National Capital Region will be elected at the regional convention. Please note that Ed Cashman, the incumbent Regional Executive Vice-President is not seeking reelection. There are at present four (4) declared candidates in the running to replace him: Daniel Charron, Maria Fitzpatick, Doug Marshall and Larry Rousseau.
Approximately two hundred (200) delegates and observers from the National Capital Region will be debating resolutions on a wide range of topics and electing representatives to the PSAC NCR regional council.
N.B. At noon on Friday, May 23, hundreds of PSAC members will walk on Promenade du Portage in Gatineau to express their support for their bargaining teams currently in negotiations with the Treasury Board and federal agencies.
