Negotiations with Canada Revenue Agency

New Bargaining Certificate for PSAC members at CRA

In response to a joint application by the Public Service Alliance of Canada and the Canada Revenue Agency, the Public Service Labour Relations Board will amend and update the description of the 26,000-member Program Delivery and Administrative Services group bargaining unit.

Originally certified in 2001, the application to amend the description of the unit was made in order to reflect the adoption of the new Services and Programs (SP) Occupational group under the Agency Classification Standard (ACS) and the inclusion in the unit of MG Group members represented by PSAC. The decision also addresses the realignment of the responsibilities of the former Canada Customs and Revenue Agency to the newly created Canada Border Services Agency and the creation of the Canada Revenue Agency.

Accordingly, the decision issued by the Public Service Labour Relations Board on February 27, 2009, states that a new certificate will be issued for a bargaining unit that includes: “All employees of the employer in the Program Delivery and Administrative Services Group, comprised of all employees classified in the Services and Programs Group and all employees classified as MG-SPS in the Management Group.”
