PSAC Bargaining Units with Treasury Board (PA, SV, TC, EB, FB)
No Anticipated Delay in the Issuance of the Lump-Sum Payment for Members of the PA and EB Groups
The lump-sum payment for members of the PA and EB groups must be issued within 150 days of the signing of the collective agreement. The PA agreement was signed on the 29th of January, 2009 and the EB agreement was signed on February 6, 2009. This means that the latest day for the issuance of the PA payment will be June 29, 2009 and for the EB group July 6, 2009.
We have received a number of inquiries from members who are anxiously awaiting this payment and are concerned that the current economic crisis or other factors may affect its issuance. Please be assured that the PSAC knows of absolutely no reason for any delay. We fulfilled all of the obligations on our side of the agreement relating to the payment of the lump-sum.
We expect the employer to meet its contractual obligations and issue the payment within the agreed 150 day period.
