The official signing of the new collective agreement will take place in Ottawa on Tuesday May 5, 2009. After the signing ceremony, the employer will have 90 days to implement the changes to this 4-year collective agreement. The PSAC negotiation team reached a tentative agreement with the CFIA in November 2008. A ratification vote was held among PSAC members in January 2009. The employer recently received the approval of the Governor in Council, which paved the way to the official signing of the new collective agreement.
