Delegates to the PSAC Access Conference fight for quality public services for people with disabilities

Four years after the UN General Assembly approved it, Canada finally signed on to the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities in March 2010.

Now it's time for the government to act on its commitment.

Send a letter to Prime Minister Stephen Harper and ask his government to implement the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.

Ask Harper to reverse some of his government's initiatives that have harmed people with disabilities, namely:

  • That the federal government restore funding to the Court Challenges Program
  • That the federal government halt the closures of the Canadian Human Rights Commission offices in Vancouver, Halifax, and Toronto; and
  • That federal government workers with disabilities not be charged for parking.
